What glows the best between Gel, Dip Powder, Acrylic, or Sculpture Gel?

It all depends on preference. The strength of the glow would depend on how long you charge the specific medium.

Gel is great for beginners. It uses the classic application method and requires curing. However, if you’re looking for a thinner application method, you could try Dip Powder. It uses Bond, Base Coat, Activator, and Top Coat. Unlike Acrylic application, it doesn’t require a monomer. It’s perfect for those who want a more natural alternative or are too hesitant to try the Acrylic application. On the other hand, Acrylic application is also great for those that like a semi-liquid feel, and enjoys a great bead. Last but not least, is the Sculpture Gel which may be paired with Sculpture Gel Tips for easy application. Alternatively, you may use Nail Forms for Gel, Acrylic, and Sculpture Gel.


How do I apply and remove Glow in the Dark Gel?

Application Instructions:


Apply a thin coat of iGel Base Coat, cure under UV / LED lamp.
Apply a coat of LB Glow Gel polish, then cure under UV / LED lamp. You may repeat this step until you get your desired opacity.
Finish off with iGel No Cleanse Top Coat.
Charge your nails.

Removal Instructions:


Use a nail file or nail buffer to remove the shiny Top Coat and any thick layering.
Soak your nails in acetone for 3-5 minutes to weaken the gel and use a cuticle pusher to remove excess polish.
Repeat as needed!

How do I apply and remove Glow in the Dark Acrylic?

Application Instructions:


Prep your nails with Ultra Bond Primer to remove the natural oils from your nail bed and extend the longevity of your manicure.
Dip the brush into your EMA Monomer and push it all the way down to make sure the bubbles go away, then brush it against the side of the acrylic dish to remove excess liquid.
Dap your brush into the Glow in the Dark Powder. You may have to practice a few times to achieve the correct ratio of liquid to acrylic powder. It should be moist and spreadable, but not too wet.
Apply the bead to your nails, then air dry. (Pro Tip! Once dried, you may test by tapping the surface of the nail with the handle of the acrylic brush. If it makes a clicking sound, it’s ready for the next step.)
Depending on your method of application, you may repeat steps 2 to 4, and apply another bead.
Top it off with Top Coat.
Charge your nails.

Removal Instructions:


Trim and cut off any extra acrylic nail length.
Pour 100% acetone into a large bowl. Submerge your nails for 15-20 minutes.
Gently scrape off the softened acrylic with a wooden cuticle stick

How do I apply and remove Glow in the Dark Dip Powder?

Application Instructions:


Prep your nail with Bond to dehydrate the nail.
Apply Base Coat.
Dip the nail in the Glow in the Dark Powder at a 45 degree angle, then tap the finger to remove the excess. (Pro Tip! Wait 30 seconds before brushing off the excess powder with a nail brush.)
Repeat step 3 on the same nail until you get your desired opacity.
Apply Activator, then let dry for 30 seconds.
Wipe each nail with a lint-free wipe to remove any excess activator.
File & Buff to your desired length and shape.
Apply Top Coat.
Charge your nails.

Removal Instructions:


File down the shiny top coat.
Use Acetone to Remove the Dip: Either wrap your nails in acetone-soaked cotton balls wrapped in foil for 10-15 minutes or soak your nails in acetone for 15-20 minutes. (Pro Tip! Before applying the acetone, rub petroleum jelly around your cuticle and fingertips. It will keep the skin around your nails from drying out!)
After Step 2, the manicure will flake off gently.

How do I apply and remove Glow in the Dark Sculpture Gel?

Application Instructions:

Prep your nails.

Take a Sculpture Gel Brush, and apply the Diamond Sculpture Gel – Glow in the Dark on your nails. For easy application, you may opt to use Sculpture Gel Tips or Nail Forms with 90% alcohol or slip solution.

Cure the over and underneath your nail.

Curing Time: LED (30 seconds), UV/LED (60-90 seconds), UV (2 minutes) depending on lamp wattage.

If you’re using a Nail Form or Sculpture Gel Tip, gently remove it.

Lightly buff or file your nail tips to your desired shape. Afterward, use your dust brush to clear it up before the next step.

Top it off with Top Coat.

Charge your nails.

Removal Instructions:


File down the shiny Top Coat.

Does the Glow in the Dark powder require black light?

No need! Simply charge your Glow in the Dark Medium, and you’re good to glow.


How long does it take to charge Glow in the Dark swatches?

We highly recommend charging it in direct sunlight for 2-3 hours. Alternatively, you may charge it with your artificial lighting or lamps. However, direct sunlight will provide the best charge. The longer you charge, the longer the glow would last!


Why do my Glow in the Dark swatches look duller/dimmer?

It’s normal for the Glow in the Dark gel colors to have varying brightness due to the following factors:


Pigment Concentration: Some gel colors may have a higher concentration of pigment, which leads to a brighter glow.
Color Type: Different colors naturally glow with varying intensities. For example, green and blue often glow brighter compared to other shades like red or purple.
Light Exposure: The length and intensity of light exposure before activation can impact how brightly the gel glows. Some colors may need more exposure to light to achieve their maximum glow potential.
Product Age & Storage: Over time, glow in the dark pigments can lose some of their brightness, especially if not stored properly.

How do I make Glow in the Dark gels appear brighter?

To achieve a brighter glow, we highly recommend doing the following:


Charge the gel polish under a strong light, the brighter the light exposure, the brighter the glow. Examples: UV or LED lamps, or even direct sunlight. Charge the polish for a few minutes to activate the glow ingredients.
Charge the gel polish under a light source before each layer to ensure the pigment absorbs as much light as possible.
Adding more coats of the glow in the dark gel polish will increase the concentration of the glow in the dark ingredients, making the glow brighter.
Applying a white or light colored base coat underneath the glow in the dark polish, this will enhance the glow effect.

Why don’t my Glow in the Dark swatches light up?

To achieve optimum color and glow, thoroughly mix the products or roll them over your palms before applying them to the nails. This allows the ingredients to combine and be activated accordingly. After application, we highly recommend charging it in direct sunlight (if you are using our Pro Gel System, leave them out for 2-3 hours or as long as you want and wear them as Press-On nails) basically charging your swatches as long as possible. You may also use a UV/LED lamp as an alternative.

Note: Please do NOT expose the product itself outside to direct sunlight. It is advisable to store all products in a cool optimal setting and to not store them with direct sunlight/heat. It is only the swatches that you have to expose to direct sunlight, not the products or your nails.
