1 – What is the Microsoft SwiftKey Clipboard?When typing with your Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard, you have the option to copy text and save it for later use. This could be for a quick copy/paste job or something long-form like an email or social media update. Whatever the case, it works for a short-term or long-term saving of text selections on your phone.

Copy text to your Clipboard
There are two ways to copy text.
Tap into a text field, highlight the text you want copied and select ‘Copy’.

Type your text into the ‘Clip content’ field. Tap ‘Save’.

How to delete Clipboard contents
From the Clipboard itself, a quick swipe left or right will delete a saved clip. This can be reversed by tapping ‘Undo’ immediately after.
Manage your saved clips
Your clips can be pinned to the top of your Clipboard by selecting the pin icon to the right of each selection. Pin copied clips to stop them expiring after 1 hour.
You can also reorder your clips by long-pressing and dragging up or down in the list.

How to create a Shortcut

Open the Toolbar by tapping the icon.

Tap on the ‘Clipboard’ followed by the ‘pencil’ icon. Any clips you’ve previously saved will appear here.

Tap onto a clip and enter some text into the shortcut field. For example: use something memorable like ‘Home1’ for your address details. Remember to tap ‘Save’ when done.
How to insert a Shortcut
When you type a shortcut your clip content will appear on the prediction bar. Tap on it to insert it into the conversation.

Tap into the clip containing the shortcut you wish to remove.

Erase the text in the shortcut field (or replace it with something else). Tap ‘Save’.

If you don’t tap ‘Save’ your text will expire after 1 hour.
3 – Edit and delete clipsYou can view all of your clips by visiting the Clipboard. To edit, delete and rearrange your saved clips:

Tap the ‘+’ icon to open your Toolbar. Select Clipboard

Now you have a choice – to delete:

Press the red icon next to the clip you want to delete

Confirm your selection by tapping ‘Delete’
To rearrange your clips:

Reorder your saved clips by long pressing and dragging up or down in the list.
As an alternative, it’s possible to add, edit and delete clips by pulling down on the Clipboard and exposing the ‘Manage your Clipboard’ prompt.
