The 1977 blackout in Manhattan, NY. The new sound with R&B and Rock n’ Roll fusion into Disco rocketing into the charts along with the disco nightspots such as Studio 54 and TV shows like; Charlie’s Angels, the Brady Bunch, the Love Boat, Soul Train, Welcome Back Kotter, Good Times, Maude, M*A*S*H, What’s Happening, the Jefferson’s, All In the Family, the Mary Tyler Moore show, Sanford & Son, and variety shows. Movies like; Carrie, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, the Exorcist, Car Wash, Charlotte’s Web, Cooley High, American Graffiti, the Wiz, Lady Sings the Blues, and Star Wars.
